One of the main duties of commercial attaché in different countries is to attract investors for investment in free zones.
BENA- Iran's commercial attaché in Pakistan announced that one of Pakistani well known merchant expressed his readiness for investment in Kish Free Zone.
''The volume of trade exchange between Iran and Pakistan was about $ 450 million in 2006,'' said Ahmad Fasihi Iranian Commercial attaché of Iran embassy in Pakistan.
The volume of trade exchange has been increased and reached to $ one billion in previous year, he added.
Commerce ministers of Iran and Pakistan inked an agreement in Islam Abad last year according to which the two sides agree to increase the volume of trade exchanges to $ 4 billion and solving banking problems, he stressed.
Iran could attract Pakistani merchants for making investment in Iranian free zones and one of acclaimed merchant expressed his willingness for investment in Kish free zone, he remarked.
