The world largest soil carpet under the title of "Persian Gulf" will be inaugurated on Hormoz Island in southern Iran.
BENA- The soil carpet covering an area of 1250 square meters is made of 90 different colors of soil.
Twenty-five artists from Hormozgan Province collaborated on the 10-day project that began November 29. They used the rare colorful soil of the island in making the soil carpet.
The variety of colors, designs, and the size has made it a unique artwork, Banuj said, adding, "Its title 'Persian Gulf' is a cultural act of preserving the name of the Persian Gulf, which also gives it a high value."
The carpet soil displayed for a week on the Sang Morghi Coast of Hormoz Island.
