Handicraft development is the basis of economic growth in Qeshm

He continued: Qeshm Free Zone Organization with the aim of restoring this neglected part of human life in this island want to introduce the art of region as a part of Iran's art and culture.

Director of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Qeshm, mentioned miniature, boat building, construction of wooden chairs (Kapkap), straw and traditional forging industries which are forgotten as part Qeshm's arts that they are seeking to revive it.
Amini added: Encouraging youth to learn skills and techniques of handicraft artists especially is part of the plans in order to keep alive handicraft in Qeshm.
