Director of geopark of the free zone organization of Qeshm announced the organizing some of the most important world’s geopark of Qeshm geo sites by the end of this year.
Seyed mohammad hashem dakhte said: due to the broad visiting and welcoming norooz travels and tourists from various spots of the tourism on the Qeshm island organizing project of the geo sites of the world geopark of Qeshm was ordered with the aim of building the facilities and ways access for tourists to these areas with cooperation of the permanent headquarters facilities of Qeshm trips And the department of architecture and urban at the free zone organization.
Dakhte referring to the time of the implementing of the project , said : with emphasis by director of free zone organization of Qeshm and follow – up , it is supposed to be done the organizing project of these geo sites with the credit around 5,000,000,000 Rials by the end of this year to welcome to the norooze travelers .
Director of Qeshm geopark referred to specific points in the project and stated: it is organized the geo sites of stars valley, Chahkooh, Naz island and mangrove forests in this project. Geopark in the word is “geological park “and means the regional with enough extent that marked its boundaries clearly and several distinct geological phenomenon (geological heritage) is located in the area. This area should be able to play dominant role in the economic development of the surrounding communities.
Geopark is the sustainable management of land, the conservation of natural and cultural structures of a wide range of homeland, as we come up to this legacy, it remained for future generations.
According to the geopark criteria, it is important both of the natural and cultural features. Therefore, the conservation of the land with the geopark pattern provides this situation that we can identify and plan how to manage this land correctly to create a balance between the space and function, between architecture and life style. Qeshm world geopark with broad area up to 1560 〖km〗^2 is located in the strait of Hormoz and in the Persian Gulf. In fact, geopark is covered a large part of Qeshm island with Hara forest.
Qeshm geopark is ownership of the collection of geo sites with international valuable such as stars valley, Karkarakooh, Qeshm roof, sculpture valley, Shoor valley, Chahkooh , Gonbad namaki and Doolabb .
