Managing director of Arvand Free Zone urged Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pave the way in order to run Shalamcheh to Basra railway.
BENA- '' Construction of Arvand railway has started in 2007 and joined the country national railway network,'' said Aliasghar Parhizkar.
Arvand railway can play effective role in export and transit in the region, since the Arvand railway has joined the country national railway network, the goods transferred to Shalamcheh via train then left the boundary with camion, he added.
The construction of Arvand to Basra railway depend on Iraqi side, he stressed.
