The amount of foreign investment has been increased by 50 percent in Aras Free Zone this year in contrast with the last year.
BENA- '' Unique geo strategic position of Aras, closeness to CIS countries, locating in international corridors, situating on Silk Road and neighboring with Turkey are all among the factors that attract investors in the region,'' said economic deputy to Aras Free Zone Iraj Hatami.
Some 35 percent foreign investments has been made in Aras Free Zone in 2009 the amount increase by 85 percent in current Iranian calendar year( started on March 21), he noted.
Most of investors from Turkey and Azerbaijan have made investment in Aras Free Zone, he stressed.
