The world largest cargo plane dubbed "Antonov 225" for the first time landed in Kish Island International Airport.
BENA- According to the Public Relations of Kish Free Zone Organization, this giant aircraft on the sidelines of holding the fifth International Air Show and Aviation Exhibition of Iran, on the evening of Tuesday the 9th of November 2010 for the reason of introducing it's capabilities for the first time in the history of Iran landed at Kish airport.
The giant aircraft manufactured in Ukraine and at the evening of Tuesday will leave Kish Island to its country Ukraine.
"Antonov 225" has six turbofan engines, its maximum takeoff weight is 600 tons, 84 meters length and wingspan of 84/4 m and its height is 18/10 meters.
"Antonov 225" has the capacity of carrying 250 tons and its maximum speed is 850 km per hour.
Flight range of this airplane is 4500 miles that without cargo increases to 14,500 km.
